L Section Wind Posts
Optimised for narrow cavities or increased wind load scenarios, the L Section Wind Post offers a lightweight yet high-strength profile. Its asymmetrical form allows strategic reinforcement where spatial or loading constraints apply.
Fully embedded using masonry ties on both leaves, each unit is supplied with a welded base plate, loose cleat, and tailored fixings and ties—streamlined for versatile installation.
Fabricated in 304 stainless or S275/S355 galvanised steel. All fixings are prepared to ensure compliant connection to concrete, steel, or masonry substrates. Dissimilar materials must be isolated.
Utilising wall ties the post is embedded into the inner and outer walls, reinforcing it from lateral loads.
Every Wind Post comes with a welded base plate, loose top cleat, relevant fixings and wall ties. The base plate and top cleat are designed to suit your application no matter the substrate. The wall ties are selected to suit your wall cavity size.
Stainless steel grade 304 and galvanised mild steel grades S275 and S355 are available. Always isolate dissimilar materials. Calculated as a simply supported beam.
