U Section Wind Posts
Precision-engineered to integrate within cavity walls without disrupting internal blockwork—ideal for clean installations. Designed as a simply supported system, they are reinforced via masonry ties into both leaves, resisting lateral loads effectively.
Supplied as a full system: each post includes a welded base plate, adjustable loose top cleat, masonry-compatible fixings, and ties specified for the exact cavity width.
Fabricated in 304 stainless or S275/S355 galvanised steel. All fixings are prepared to ensure compliant connection to concrete, steel, or masonry substrates. Dissimilar materials must be isolated.
Utilising wall ties the post is embedded into the inner and outer walls, reinforcing it from lateral loads.
Every Wind Post comes with a welded base plate, loose top cleat, relevant fixings and wall ties. The base plate and top cleat are designed to suit your application no matter the substrate. The wall ties are selected to suit your wall cavity size.
Stainless steel grade 304 and galvanised mild steel grades S275 and S355 are available. Always isolate dissimilar materials. Calculated as a simply supported beam.
