WMS: Inverted Masonry Support

Inverted Masonry Support (Toe-Up)

Bracket orientation is reversed, with the angle toe facing upward to engage the masonry just below a movement joint. Ideal for balancing load and tolerance at critical structural breaks or expansion points.

For cases where support is required from below or where expansion joints must be accommodated above, Birtley provides an inverted (toe-up) welded bracket solution. This detail allows upward support of masonry while preserving vertical movement in the structure.

The system includes uplift restraint checks, slab interface assumptions, and full fixings package.

The system can be supplied in a variety of configurations to suit applications and masonry support requirements.

Bracket spacing, depth and height are all designed to suit loading requirements. Various cavity widths and fixing positions can be accommodated.

Additional components, including individual bracket supports, suspended masonry, top hung brackets, curved angles, and bespoke items can be supplied to meet requirements.

The system is a bespoke direct fix solution that can be adapted to various configurations to suit site requirements.
